OAKLEYS LAW is a traditional general legal practice based in South Gippsland Victoria. Our aim is to work collaboratively with our clients and build a strong sense of community in the Gippsland region. Our lawyers aim to deliver consistently high standards of legal service across all general areas that impact on their day-to-day life. We understand the importance of accessibility, responsiveness and transparency. Working with us, you’ll enjoy open communication, meaning well scoped, appropriately resourced and effectively managed matters.
Oakleys Law traces its beginnings back to George Frederick Oakley, who commenced practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of the Colony of Victoria on 29 March 1881. The firm came to South Gippsland in the early 1970s when their partner, Bill Freeman extended the practice of the Melbourne based firm, Oakley Thompson.
Our clients tell us they come to Oakleys Law because we have the expertise of the specific legal issues facing our community, delivered with a strong emphasis on personalised service. What’s more, they explain that a key strength of us is our professionalism, as we value long-term relationships and provide clarity in our advice.
Our culture is based on inherent core values that are promoted across the firm: providing opportunities for our people and creating positive and lasting changes within our community.
